Hockey Instructor

Holistic Hockey is a leading hockey development and consulting company

servicing Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas.

 

As a Hockey Instructor, you will consistently provide excellent customer service and

assist in delivering hockey-specific training and development.

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and care of the participants

• Follow the on-ice program set out by the Head Instructor

• Constantly being involved in error detection & correction of all participants to enhance their skills and enjoyment of hockey

• Following policies and schedules set out by the Head Instructor (e.g. signing in and out procedures, schedule of activities, etc)

• Engaging the participants in a fun, enjoyable and educational hockey experience

• Other duties as assigned by the Head Instructor

• Using or wearing protective equipment devices or clothing when required

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Can demonstrate a high level of skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting ability

• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Must enjoy working with children

• Identify the strengths and weaknesses of athletes or teams

• Nurture and develop athletes' potential skills and abilities

• Professional demeanour

• Strong teaching and helping skills

• Positive communication skills

 

Job Type: Part-time & Full-time Positions

Beginning December 2024

Salary: Negotiable and dependent on experience.
